SIS! I am living for the new trend that has been making an appearance on the scene. Rihanna was spotted during fashion week in a $980 Ella Boucht jumbo puffer coat (I made up jumbo puffer... should I coin it?). I instantly fell in love with the velvet like texture of the coat and the etched design incorporated in the garment. Rihanna had been spotted several times in the new trend:
AND THEN, I got my LIFE while watching Solange's new video, Cranes in the Sky, which started off by Solange sitting on a flight of stairs, and sitting in general, wearing a cotton candy pink jumbo puffer. I'm not sure who the designer is. I searched high and low for a name, trust me.
So, if we know anything about fashion, it's that it repeats itself. WELL, sorry to the girls that Stan for these girls but they weren't the first to do it. Back in 2006, Kelis released her album, Kelis Was Here which included a song titled Lil Star. In the video, Kelis sported a gun metal jumbo puffer. Kelis, to me, has always been a trend setter so I wasn't shocked when I remembered that she was the person I first seen with one on.
